Paul didn't tell us to manage our thoughts. He told us to take them captive — to arrest them, name them, and put them under the authority of Christ.
Start by noticing the voice. Most defeated believers aren't fighting demons; they're agreeing with thoughts they never questioned. "I'm too far gone." "Nothing changes." "God's tired of me." None of that came from Scripture.
Then replace it. Every captive thought needs a truth to stand in its place. Write the lie on the left side of a page and the verse that answers it on the right. Read the right side out loud. Out loud matters — faith comes by hearing.
"We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." — 2 Corinthians 10:5
